  via Lynn press release   BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's men's lacrosse team will enter the 2019 campaign with a national ranking to its name, coming in at No. 19 on the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Men's Preseason Top-20 Poll. The Fighting Knights lacrosse squad posted a 9-6 overall record in 2018 with a 2-5 mark in Sunshine State Conference play, matching the 2016 campaign for the most-ever wins in a season. The Blue and White started off the year on a tear, going 7-1 through nonconference play. Their 7-1 mark was their best-ever start to a season which included a program-record six-game winning streak.   via Lynn press release   BOCA RATON, Fla. – Dryden Brous of the Lynn University men's lacrosse team has recently been tabbed a Second Team Preseason All-American, released by Inside Lacrosse and published in the Face-Off Yearbook. The preseason accolade is the first for any player in program history. Defending champion Merrimack has three first-team All-Americans —two at attack— and has five overall across the first, second and third teams. The lists show the growing presence of DII, with 10 different programs represented on the first team. The reigning DII Players of the Year both return in the Warriors' Charlie Bertrand and Le Moyne's Dan Entenmann. The Gators have 17 regular season games scheduled during the 2019 campaign, as well as a scrimmage against the Scottish National Team. Florida boasts nine home games this season at Donald R. Dizney Stadium. UF has gone 86-17 (.835) at The Diz in the nine-year history of the program. During the 2019 season, the Gators will face 10 teams that made their way into the 2018 NCAA Tournament field: Colorado, Maryland, Loyola, Navy, High Point, Syracuse, North Carolina, Princeton, Stony Brook and Jacksonville.   via Tampa press release   TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's lacrosse team has announced captains for the 2019 season. Seniors Jack Tyrrell, Andrew Kew, and Luke Robideaux along with sole junior Ross Dickerson will guide the Spartans for the upcoming season. Tyrell, a defender from Medford, N.J. was an All SSC Second Team selection his junior season, in addition to being named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, and earning the DII ADA Academic Achievement Award. In 2018 he started in all 20 games for the Spartans and ended the season fourth on the team with 39 ground balls. Additionally, he logged seven caused turnovers and had one goal against Tusculum (2/5). Kew, one of the most decorated men's lacrosse players in the history of the program, is a tw
